The CHANDIGARH NATURE AND HEALTH SOCIETY (CNHS) is the only NGO in the North to be selected by the Botanical Survey of India, Ministry of Environment and Forests to work on the project for preservation and conservation of Rare, Endangered and Threatened (RET) species. The Department of Botany, Punjab University, Chandigarh is assisting the CNHS in this project. A garden of RET species is under development at the site. The RET plants have been supplied by the BSI, Dehradun.

The trees which are are planted in the GARDEN OF RET SPECIES includes several rare species supplied by Botanical Survey of India, Dehradun.

Bamboo Hut
An exquisitely designed bamboo hut, fabricated by India’s leading wood craftsmen is a major attraction of the Museum. The ambience, design and decor will not only expose visitors to India’s rich heritage and traditions in wood craftsmanship but also highlight the natural beauty and wonder of wood and the need to preserve and protect our forest wealth.
Open Air Art Gallery
The traditional concept of exhibitions is to view them in indoor galleries. The exhibits in the Open Air Nature Gallery will be displayed in the open so that they can be viewed in a natural ambience. The open air exhibition gallery will not only be a unique facility for artists, painters, sculptors etc. but also a great tourist attraction.
Nature Club
The Nature Club conducts a series of activities and events throughout the year to enable citizens in general and children in particular to gain a deeper understanding of the environment around and the impact of their actions on it. Some of the activities of the Nature Club are:
POETREE-Nite, Nature Walks, Bird Watching Trails, Tree Games: Tree Quiz, Face Painting, slide Shows etc.
